Tips for a Successful Week

Updated: Sep 7, 2018

Pop!

Hello! I hope everyone has been having an INCREDIBLE week.

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to check out my brand spanking new podcast entitled Bubbly Thoughts! You can find the introduction episode, that explains all about what you will hear in my episodes, and you can also listen to the first two episodes which are now live!

Go check them out on iTunes, Spotify or on bubblythoughts.com/podcast.

This week I want to cover a topic that is essential in living a healthy lifestyle. No, no, no I am not going to preach to you about eating kale 5 times a day and meditating until you are blue in the face (oh kalllllleeeee nah).

I wanted to share a different kind of approach with you because healthy and happy people are the ones that I consider to be the most successful. The definition for success is, “the accomplishment of an aim or purpose.” And our purpose should make us happy, right? So, basically if we can take control of our weeks and accomplish success relating to our purpose, we will live happier lives.

With that being said, I want to share a few sure-fire ways to create a more successful week which will make you a happier person.

Fizz…

  1. Make a to-do list for the week: Start your week off on the right foot by making a running to-do list for the week. I do this through the notes section on my iPhone and fill it out with every item for every day based off of what I need to get done (duh lol). But I truly rely on this thing! I even put items on my list that seem simple, such as do laundry or to go to the gym (fortunately I don't need to remind myself to eat...never forgotten that before!). Doing this will help keep you organized and will help you manage your time better. Most of the time, people who don’t make to-do lists don’t realize how much time they actually have to get done what they WANT to get done, not just what NEEDS to get done. The best part? I add a check mark emoji next to the item on my list once I’ve completed it and that gives me more life than it should (I am a loser..but a happy one).

  2. Add a feel good item to your to-do list every day: Listen, we live busy freaking lives guys and we all have commitments that we must fulfill that are, shall we say, less than fun. So, why not ensure that every single day we treat items related to our own happiness as seriously as we do the rest of the items on our to-do list? It can be easy and doesn't always have to cost money. For example, one day this week my feel good item was to light my pumpkin candle while I was cooking dinner (because pumpkin is life...). Another night on my to-do list, my feel good item was to watch a scary movie and have a glass (bottle) of wine. And you know for sure one of my feel good items this week was to make a dessert (Nutella and croissants were involved...you better catch that drool). Those are just a couple simple ones. You can make the decision with how complex they are because your happiness is YOUR happiness and therefore should be anything you want it to be. There is nothing selfish about making sure you are happy every single day. It doesn’t mean every day is going to be perfect all-day long. It simply means you are making yourself, and your happiness, a priority at some point during the day. You can’t depend on anyone doing that for you, so it's essential that you make this commitment to yourself. It’s your life. Be DAMN happy or be a DAMN fool (buuuuuurrrrnnnnn).

  3. Get up early every day: Reality check, it’s not easy for anyone to wake up in the morning. I rarely sleep well (insomnia), yet I am up most mornings (if I can sleep in on the weekend, I will though...I'll be honest) and complete something on my to-do list before the sun is even awake. In all honesty, what great success story came from sleeping instead of getting stuff done (perhaps the first mattress company)? We all have the same number of hours in the day. We all have hopes dreams and desires to reach our full potential. Giving yourself one extra hour a day adds up to seven extra hours in your week, 28 extra hours in your month and 336 extra hours in your year….Give yourself one extra hour each morning and you will be that much more ahead of the game when it comes to achieving success.

CLINK

Here's the great news. You already have everything you need to start your path to success. And you, my dear, are capable of doing whatever you set your mind to. All you have to do is stop being afraid of actually getting stared. “If your dreams don’t scare you, they aren’t big enough.”

This week, I challenge you to make a to-do list. Make sure that every single day you allow yourself something that makes you feel good and something that makes getting up one extra hour every day worth it.

Live…actually live….your life. It's the only one you'll ever have.

Cheers to you and all your future successes.

Stay bubbly,

Broms
