May 13, 2019 Real Estate Update

If you are a first time home buyer, you probably have a lot of questions.

Never fear, your favorite bubbly REALTOR is here! Your first experience of buying a home should be exciting, not unsettling. Allow me to help, it would be my pleasure. Below you will find three of my top tips when it comes to first time home-buying.

Bring on this week’s gold!

1) Hire a REALTOR I can't recommend this enough. Don't do this alone when you have a friend out there that genuinely has your best interest at heart. It's my job to make this process as easy for you as possible. You don't have to spend time doing your own research or hoping that you picked the right person on this pursuit. Let me do the work and let me help you. I've got your back (yard...remember...still not funny...fine...#StillHireMe).

2) Don't necessarily buy for the life you have today.  According to Forbes.com, " Chances are that buying a house will be one of the bigger financial commitments you'll make in your lifetime. Before you agree to buy what you think might be your dream house, consider your long-term plans." Learn more, here

3) Save money for a downpayment. This sounds like a no-brainer, but I added it here to emphasize the importance of it. According to HGTV.com, "Take some time to save money for a down payment before buying home. Your offer will look stronger to the seller and you'll have more leverage during negotiations." Learn more, here

These tips aren't exactly rocket science, but all good things take time and you have to start with the basics. I have other recommendations as well that I plan to share in the upcoming weeks. This is just the beginning!

Until next time, enjoy taking this process step-by-step.

Cheers to you, friend, and your future home endeavors.
